Dr. Rajakumar Deshpande

Dr. Rajakumar Deshpande is a senior neurosurgeon and Director of Neurosciences at Fortis Hospital, Bangalore, with over three decades of experience in advanced brain and spine surgery. A pioneer of keyhole spine techniques in India, he has been instrumental in introducing and teaching minimally invasive approaches across the country.

As a founding member and current President of MISSAB, Dr. Deshpande has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s academic direction. He served as the Organizing Chairman of MISSABCON 2023 in Bengaluru, further strengthening the platform for innovation, collaboration, and education in MISS. His leadership continues to inspire excellence in the Indian spine surgery community.

Dr. Shrinivas Rohidas

Dr. ShrinivasRohidas is a renowned neurosurgeon and a trailblazer in endoscopic spine surgery in India. Based in Kolhapur, he was among the first to adopt and master the Destandau technique in the country and went on to establish the world’s first 3D endoscopic spine surgery center. His innovations, including introducing the ultrasonic bone dissector in spine surgery, have influenced practice nationwide.

A founding member and past president of MISSAB, Dr. Rohidas has been instrumental in shaping the academic landscape of MISSABCON. He has been a key faculty member across multiple editions of the conference, delivering live demonstrations and training sessions that have helped standardize and spread endoscopic spine surgery across India.

His dedication to education, innovation, and mentorship continues to inspire a generation of spine surgeons.

Dr. Sathish Chandra Gore

Dr. Sathish Chandra Gore is a globally recognized innovator in endoscopic spine surgery, credited with developing the stitch-less “Gore System” performed under local anesthesia—minimizing tissue damage and accelerating recovery. His groundbreaking techniques, including the SMRUTII system for lumbar stenosis, have been widely adopted in India and abroad. A founding member of MISSAB, Dr. Gore has been instrumental in shaping the academic and training ethos of the association. Through over 100 international workshops and numerous publications, he has trained a generation of spine surgeons and continues to lead the way in advancing minimally invasive spine surgery.
